The Center for Snake Conservation will be undergoing another expedition to search for the South Florida Rainbow Snake ( https://fieldventures.wordpress.com/2011/09/20/the-mystery-of-the-south-florida-rainbow-snake/ ) and are raising funds to help build some new trap arrays. During the previous expedition (which I was fortunate to be a part of), the CSC scoped out potential Rainbow Snake habitat in southern Florida and found a site that looks pristine where we’ve received reports of South Florida Rainbow Snakes being seen in the past.
These are exciting herpetological times – help be a part of them by donating here: http://www.causes.com/causes/648214-snake-conservation-through-education/actions/1688115
